Vocational & Life Skills Training

Turning potential into productivity — we equip youth and single mothers with hands-on skills to build self-reliance and lasting livelihoods.

Skills First. Dependency Ends.

Youth unemployment in Kalaki District is among the highest in Uganda — and many young people, especially girls, drop out of school with no access to further learning or work.

IYF’s vocational and life skills program gives them a second chance. With practical training, business coaching, and a supportive learning environment, we help them turn raw talent into dignified work.

Quick, Marketable Skills for Immediate Impact

Participants take part in 1–5 day workshops that teach them how to produce useful goods they can sell in their communities.

Each training includes theory + step-by-step practical sessions + startup guidance.

Who Can Join?

Empowering the Excluded

Our programs are open to youth (ages 15–35) and single mothers — especially those affected by early pregnancy, school dropout, poverty, or unemployment. No prior qualifications required — just the desire to learn and grow.

Sponsor a Skill. Change a Life.

You can help us train more young people by supporting training kits, trainers, or one full course for a participant. Every skill learned is a door opened.
