Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Prevention
- Ending Violence. Empowering Survivors.
At IYF, we work to break the cycle of gender-based violence by raising awareness, equipping communities, and supporting those affected — especially young women and girls.
The Reality of Gender-Based Violence in Our Communities
In Uganda especially in Kalaki district — gender-based violence continues to threaten the health, dignity, and future of women and girls. Many young girls drop out of school due to early pregnancies or forced marriage. Others face abuse in silence, with little access to justice, protection, or support.
GBV fuels the cycle of poverty, disempowerment, and trauma. At IYF, we believe every woman and girl deserves to feel safe, valued, and free.
