IYF exists to empower youth, uplift single mothers, and build thriving communities in North Eastern Uganda, Kalaki district through skills, dignity, and opportunity.
Our Story
A Movement Born From Urgency and Hope
Immediate Elevation Action (IMELA) Youth Foundation IYF was founded in 2022 by a group of passionate, faith-driven women responding to the escalating challenges of youth unemployment, school dropout, child marriage, and poverty in underserved communities.
With a vision of sustainable change from the grassroots, IYF began as a response to stories of lost potential — and evolved into a movement of empowerment, skills, and faith.
Today, we work with youth aged 12–35, especially school dropouts and single mothers, providing them with practical life skills, financial inclusion, educational support, and protection from abuse.
